Stuck in Doha for 8 hours

After spending Christmas and New Year’s in Spain, my family and I had an 8-hour layover between 12-8AM at Hamad International Airport. When I first heard the news I immediately knew that I would want to film something as I assumed that the airport would be empty, making for an interesting setting as it juxtaposes the typical idea of an airport bustling with people. This sort of “liminal” state that the airport would be in would also enhance the themes of loneliness that I wanted to explore.
